The building structure is planned using the calculation procedures for reinforced concrete structures based on SNI 2847:2019 and SNI 1726:2019. The evaluation of structural elements carried out will show how the difference in reinforcement detailing of reinforced concrete beam structural elements is evaluated based on SNI 2847:2019 and SNI 1726:2019, knowing the strength of the reinforcement in the beam installed by calculating the cross-sectional analysis of bending and shear. The evaluation was carried out on the upper structure of the Phase II Social Institution Building in Medan with a Special Moment Bearing Frame System (SRPMK). The evaluation was carried out with data collection methods, namely primary data and secondary data and data processing in the form of direct planning methods with the help of SAP 2000 V.24 software so as to obtain the results of the analysis which is the purpose of this research. The results showed that all beams have nominal moment strength that meets the requirements (ϕMn) &gt; Mu , nominal shear strength on the beam meets the requirements Vu &lt; ϕVn. The detailing of the installed reinforcement was carried out in the evaluation of flexural strength and shear strength calculated in accordance with SNI 2847:2019. The results also show that the deviation between levels meets the requirements of the deviation between floors of the design level (Δ) &lt; (Δa) in accordance with SNI 1726:2019.</p> 2024-04-17T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Junesra Florensya Manik https://ejournal.isha.or.id/index.php/Mekintek/article/view/284 Optimizing Savonius Wind Turbine Performance: Analysis of Blade Number's Influence 2024-04-18T13:25:55+00:00 M. Rizky Ananda rizkyananda@gmail.com <table width="586"> <tbody> <tr> <td width="380"> <p>This research investigates the impact of blade number on the performance characteristics of Savonius wind turbines, shedding light on optimal design configurations and operational considerations. Through a combination of experimental testing and computational simulations, the study systematically analyzes key performance metrics including power output, torque generation, rotational speed, and efficiency across varying blade configurations. Findings reveal nuanced relationships between blade number and turbine performance, with implications for design optimization and operational adaptability. While turbines with a higher number of blades demonstrate advantages in terms of energy capture and torque production, they may also encounter challenges related to stability and efficiency. Conversely, turbines with fewer blades exhibit superior rotational dynamics and efficiency under certain conditions but may face limitations at higher wind speeds. The study underscores the importance of holistic optimization approaches that balance competing objectives and trade-offs in turbine design. Looking ahead, collaborative efforts between academia, industry, and government stakeholders are essential to drive innovation and realize the full potential of Savonius wind turbines as a viable, sustainable energy solution for a greener future.</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> 2024-04-18T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 M. Problems like this can be minimized with the Building Information Modeling (BIM) method. BIM changes conventional methods from being inefficient to integrated and collaborative processes. The various benefits and advantages of using BIM include the integration between design and construction. The application of BIM can minimize errors between design and construction. In BIM, we can define some modeling information, like coordinate, model view, clash detection, rebar schedule &amp; detail fabrication, concrete volume, and others that are useful in the construction process. This study applies Autodesk Revit software for volume estimation and analyzes the differences in the BIM-based volume estimation results with conventional methods. The Revit software volume output is then compared to the existing or contracted Bill of Quantity (BOQ). The results of the evaluation show that the volume contains from the BIM calculation on the volume of concrete is 3056.31 m3 and the weight of the reinforcement bar is 540.18 tons, these results are different from the BOQ of the contract, each of which is 2765.11 m3 for concrete volume and 490.05 tons for reinforcement bar weight, which each has a shortage of 291.20 m3 and 52.64 tons.</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> 2024-04-18T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Crystian Simon Yohanes Napitupulu https://ejournal.isha.or.id/index.php/Mekintek/article/view/283 Rainfall Analysis of Drainage Cross-Sectional Capacity with Comparison of Mononobe Method and Van Breen Method on The Road Asrama Sei Kambing C-Ii (Case Study) 2024-04-17T07:12:54+00:00 Elly Ria ellyria72@gmail.com <table width="586"> <tbody> <tr> <td width="19"> <p>&nbsp;</p> </td> <td width="380"> <p>The intensity of rainfall is one of the factors causing inundation in an area which is one of the drainage problems in the city of Medan which is increasingly feared in recent years, population growth in the city of Medan is increasingly rapid and the need for land that was originally green is now becoming a denser residential area and more and more road paving which causes rainwater cannot absorb into the ground. In addition to flooding factors, watershed conditions that often experience erosion make river silting which results in reduced flow carrying capacity so that the increase in discharge is greater so that overflow occurs. The purpose of this rainfall analysis is to find out what problems make puddles not fully drain water when the rain discharge is high and to find out how much cross-sectional capacity is suitable to be used in accommodating flood discharge in drainage at the research site. The research method calculates rainfall intensity by comparing the Mononobe method and Van Breen method by analyzing the plan discharge to determine the feasibility of cross-sectional capacity by analyzing the planned flood discharge, where the results of the analysis of the 2-year period of channel discharge capacity (Qs) = 262.622 m3⁄sec so that the calculation results that the value of the channel discharge capacity is smaller than the plan flood discharge value is greater,&nbsp; so that the capacity proves that the drainage canal is not able to accommodate the flow of water which results in flooding.</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> 2024-04-17T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Elly Ria https://ejournal.isha.or.id/index.php/Mekintek/article/view/4 Rainfall Data Modeling in Simalungun Regency Using the Arima Box-Jenkins Method 2021-11-02T16:59:33+00:00 Desi Fransiska D Desifransiska@gmail.com <p>One of the components of the environment that determines the success of plant cultivation is climate. To predict rainfall, the author uses the ARIMA Box Jenkins method, which is a quantitative forecasting method. The data used are data for the period July 2012 to June 2017. In this study, the right model is the ARIMA model (2,0,2) with Xt = 4.05668 + 0.9416Xt-1 - 1.0039Xt-2 - 0, 8558et-1 + 0.9617et-2 + et which is used to forecast rainfall for the next 12 periods. The selection is based on the smallest MSE (average error squared) value of 0.033401954 and the smallest RMSE (root mean square error value), which is 0.001115691 and the smallest MAPE (absolute average error percentage) is -0 , 00801773.</p> 2024-04-19T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Mekintek : Jurnal Mekanikal, Energi, Industri, Dan Teknologi
